COVID-19 News

In respect to the present situation of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) which has taken every part of the world, which our dear Nation isn't excluded, the leadership of the Church has hereby deem it fit to provide necessary information to her members so as to stay safe during this trying times.

The Nigeria Center For Disease Control (NCDC) has helpfully put a few tips together to help us stay safe even in possible exposure to the Virus. They are as follows:

To prevent the spread of COVID-19:
  • Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Stay home if you feel unwell.
  • If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention. Call in advance.
  • Follow the directions of your local health authority.
  • Avoiding unneeded visits to medical facilities allows healthcare systems to operate more effectively, therefore protecting you and others
Also, on the re-opening privilege given to the church by the Federal Government of Nigeria, a few conditions have been put in place by the NCDC which all Churches have been mandated to follow. They are as follows

THE NEW BIRTH 3

From the previous weeks on the topic “NEW BIRTH” , we have learnt that there is a new birth in Christ Jesus to all those who will surrender their will to him. Precisely last week, we learnt about “Life and Death” and we were able to establish the fact that there is a Life after we die of physical death. Using the story of Lazarus and the Rich man as a case study, we learnt that the rich man consistently fed his flesh and left the spirit stranded. And Lazarus on the other hand, though physically poor but his spirit was rich. And when the judgement day came, Lazarus entered into Abraham' Bosom while the rich man was left to suffer in pain. Lazarus enjoyed eternal life after death while the rich man had eternal death, which is the second death. Hence, we must ensure our spirit-man is greatly nourished above the flesh because man is a spirit being.
