Topic: Wonderful

Text: Isaiah 9:6

Wonderful means full of wonders.

Everything about God is wonderful. His works are wonderful. Psalm 107:8

+ His testimonies are wonderful. Psalm 119:129

+ His knowledge is wonderful. Psalm 139:6

+ His counsel is wonderful. Isaiah 28:29

You can never find a greater or better adviser than the Almighty God.

7 wonderful things about God;

1. The wonders of His size.

Isaiah 66:1, Deuteronomy 33:27, 2. He can make Himself small enough to dwell in you. 1 John 4:4

But He doesn’t lose His greatness at the same time. It doesn’t matter all the forces gathered against you. Greater Is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

2. The wonders of His love. 1 John 2:8, John 3:16

The only kind of love that will endure is God’s kind of love. 2 Chronicles 1:6-15

When God loves you, He sets you up for an uncommon miracle.

In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, you will be more than a conqueror.

3. The wonder of His mercy. Ephesians 2:4-6

May you continue to enjoy the mercy of God. Genesis 19:15-16, Mark 10:46-52

If you need God’s help desperately and want to cry to God, don’t begin to tell Him how good you are, just ask for mercy.

4. The wonders of His glory. 1 Timothy 6:16, Acts 22:6, Isaiah 6:1-3

Glory is the opposite of shame. Proverbs 3:35, Colossians 1:27

Anything that can cause shame, by the glory of God alone, will be kept far from you.

5. The wonders of His Name.

His names are many. Nobody has as many names as Jesus Christ.

Everyone of His name is meaningful. John 14:6

He is the Way out of everything negative. He is the Way into everything beautiful, including heaven. He’s the Way where there is no way. He is the Truth. 2 Corinthians 13:8, John 8:32, 36.

His names are powerful. Philippians 2:9-11, John 14:14

6. The wonders of His blood. Leviticus 17:11

The life of Jesus Christ is in His blood. 1 John 1:7, Exodus 12:13

The blood guarantees your security, grants you access into the holy of holies and guarantees your victory over Satan. Hebrews 10:19, Revelation 12:10-11

7. The wonders of His anger. Hebrews 12:6

God loves you. However, be careful. Don’t toy with Him.

Topic: The Wonders of Commitment  Text: Matthew 22:35-40 Commitment means total and absolute surrender once and for all time. The God we serve never does things in half measures. No half blessings with God. Psalm 23:5 Luke 5:1-7 No half breakthrough with God. If He gives you a breakthrough, it will frighten you. There’s no half measure healing with God. When God heals, He doesn’t leave behind anything at all. 2 Kings 5:1-14 There’s no half measure promotion with God. When He promotes, He promotes generously. Deuteronomy 28:13 There’s no halfway deliverance with God. Mark 5:2-20 The blessings God will give you in this convention will be absolute and complete. When God gives victory, it is absolute. 1 Samuel 17:34-51 There is no halfway support from God. Philippians 1:6 God will complete what He has started. There is no halfway salvation with God. THE NEW BIRTH 3

From the previous weeks on the topic “NEW BIRTH” , we have learnt that there is a new birth in Christ Jesus to all those who will surrender their will to him. Precisely last week, we learnt about “Life and Death” and we were able to establish the fact that there is a Life after we die of physical death. Using the story of Lazarus and the Rich man as a case study, we learnt that the rich man consistently fed his flesh and left the spirit stranded. And Lazarus on the other hand, though physically poor but his spirit was rich. And when the judgement day came, Lazarus entered into Abraham' Bosom while the rich man was left to suffer in pain. Lazarus enjoyed eternal life after death while the rich man had eternal death, which is the second death. Hence, we must ensure our spirit-man is greatly nourished above the flesh because man is a spirit being.
