TOPIC: TRADE BY BARTER
TEXT: PSALM CHAPTER 147 VERSE 1

King of kings, Lord of lords, the King of glory Himself, the Lord of Hosts, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle; we worship You. We thank You for bringing us yet another month, we thank You for January, February, March, April, May, June, July, now we are thanking you for August. We are thanking You because we know You who have brought us this far will take us to the very end of the year, accept our thanks in Jesus’ name. Father, I'm committing Your children into Your hand today, as they begin to praise You, in a marvelous way, bless them in return. I’m committing into Your hands especially Your children who have been faithful in the payment of their tithes and giving of their offerings, this very month Lord, begin to embarrass them with Your blessings. The kind of blessing that they will say to You, this is too much and You will tell them You have not started, please, pour into the lives of Your children. Thank You my Father and my God, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Let someone shout Hallelujah.

THE MESSAGE
TEXT - Psalm chapter 147 verse 1
Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. 

The word comely in Psalm 147 verse 1 means beautiful.
There are three major things said about praise here:
1.Praise is good.
If you are praising God, it is good to sing praises unto our God.
2.Praise is pleasant.
The word pleasant is the relative of the word pleasure.
3.Praise is beautiful.
In one of the sermons you have heard on leaping up from lockdown, we spoke about trade by barter.

PRAISING GOD IS A FORM OF TRADE BY BARTER
When you are praising God, you are actually trading with God and He will respond.

GOD MADE ALL THINGS FOR HIS PLEASURE
Revelation 4:9-11 God made all things for His pleasure.
Verse 11 He has made all things and for His pleasure He has made them all.
i.He made birds sing.
Song of Solomon 2:12.
ii.He made mountains and hills to sing.
Isaiah 55:12
iii.He made trees to clap.
Isaiah 55:12
iv.The floods clap their hands.
Psalm 98:8
In Psalm 47:1, the Almighty God said, clap your hands all ye people.
He expects us to clap.

WHERE DO WE FIND THESE TRADE BY BARTER BUSINESS IN PRAISING GOD?
In James 4:8, If you draw near to God, He will draw near you.
In John 4:23-23, Jesus said God is seeking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.
If you want God to draw near you, praise Him.
According to Psalm 147:1, praise is good, If you give God praise like in Psalm 34:1, David said, I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 
If you praise me and praise is good, I will make sure goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. Psalm 23:6.
When you are grumbling, complaining and querying God, you are robbing yourself. Praise Him because praise is good.

1. PRAISE IS PLEASANT
Psalm 135:3 Praise Him and make Him happy.
He made a promise in Psalm 36:7-9, He said, You give me pleasure by praising me, I will make sure you drink from the river of my pleasure; you will drink from the fountain of life.
Praise is pleasant because it gives God pleasure.

2. PRAISE IS BEAUTIFUL
When you praise Him, you give Him something beautiful.
According to Isaiah 61:3, He said He will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and the garment of praise instead of heaviness. Praise me and I will reverse the irreversible. If you really know how to praise Him, He can make sure you never have cause to sorrow.
In Psalm 90:17, If you praise me; if you do something beautiful to me, I will establish the works of your hands.
If you praise God, He will establish the works of your hands; He will make sure your works will never collapse and your projects never fail.
When God establishes, it is established.
When He opens, no man can shut.
If you praise Him and praise is beautiful, in Psalm 149:4, He will beautify you with salvation in return.

SALVATION IS BEAUTIFUL
I know what life was bef ore we found the Lord.
If you want a garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness, if you want Him to beautify you with salvation and you have never given your life to Jesus, why don't you do so now?

The Almighty God is willing to give you a garment of salvation today so that your life will change and everything that has been ugly in your life will suddenly become very beautiful. Please, surrender your life to Him and you will see a brand new change; a great transformation coming into your life.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION
My Father and my God i’m thanking You once again for Your word, i'm giving You all glory and honour for all those who have heard and who are determine to wear the agreement of salvation, please, receive them, save their souls, let Your blood wash away all their dirtiness and sins, give them a brand new beginning and let them serve You till the very end.

CLOSING PRAYER
All your children who will be praising You today, as they are trading with You by praise and something that is good, please Lord, load them with Your goodness. As they are praising You with something that will make you happy and have pleasure, let them drink from Your river of pleasure. As they please You Lord God Almighty with pleasant praise my Father and my God, establish the works of their lives, and for the rest of their lives, just let it be well with them, beautify them Lord. Oh Please Lord God Almighty beautify them, in Jesus’ mighty name we have prayed.
AMEN!

Annual Convention 2020 (Day Four)

Topic: The Wonders of Commitment  Text: Matthew 22:35-40 Commitment means total and absolute surrender once and for all time. The God we serve never does things in half measures. No half blessings with God. Psalm 23:5 Luke 5:1-7 No half breakthrough with God. If He gives you a breakthrough, it will frighten you. There’s no half measure healing with God. THE NEW BIRTH 3

From the previous weeks on the topic “NEW BIRTH” , we have learnt that there is a new birth in Christ Jesus to all those who will surrender their will to him. Precisely last week, we learnt about “Life and Death” and we were able to establish the fact that there is a Life after we die of physical death. Using the story of Lazarus and the Rich man as a case study, we learnt that the rich man consistently fed his flesh and left the spirit stranded. And Lazarus on the other hand, though physically poor but his spirit was rich. And when the judgement day came, Lazarus entered into Abraham' Bosom while the rich man was left to suffer in pain. Lazarus enjoyed eternal life after death while the rich man had eternal death, which is the second death. Hence, we must ensure our spirit-man is greatly nourished above the flesh because man is a spirit being.
