BELIEVERS AUTHORITY 2

REDEMPTION

During our study last week, we were able to establish a few points which also served as the foundational truth of every Believer's Authority. One of the major points made was that we are the signature of God. Also, God had made every necessary provision ready for man before he was ever made. Furthermore, we also learnt that the regeneration of man has been provided for ever before man lost his Authority to Satan.
In addition, we also learnt that God is not actually in control of the earth. Man, who was given the Authority of the earth to, lost it to Satan and by this negotiation, Satan became the ruler of the earth. However, God still has the final say because He has absolute control over the devil.
We were as well made to understand that the silence of Jesus Christ throughout the Old testament was not as a result of His absence, it was for the word of God to be made manifest. Jesus Christ had been there from the beginning but didn’t show up until the time of the New Testament when He was revealed for the purpose of our Redemption. So today, our focus is on REDEMPTION

Firstly, we need to know what “Redemption” means:
  • It's the act of saving or being saved.
  • It's the act of regaining or gaining possession of something in exchange of payment or clearing a debt.
At this point, am sure the question popping in your heart would be:
“Who is saving and who is being Saved”
Well, the only answer is that “God is doing the saving through Jesus, His son while Man is the one being saved”

In the book of 1 John 3:8, it was established that the Son of God appeared to destroy the devil’s work. It also meant that the Son of God came to undo all that has been done, with His blood.

HOW DO WE HAVE REDEMPTION
Before we continue with this segment, please note that the book of Ephesians is the strongest Book of the Bible that talked about Redemption. So in your leisure time, do well to study it. You can finish it in a week and yet not exhaust it in years.

  1. Ephesians 1:17: According to the records of this scripture, we were made to understand that we have our Redemption through the Blood of Jesus. So the Blood of Jesus was given for our Redemption
  2. Galatians 1:4: Here, we were made to understand that Jesus gave Himself for our sins. He took on the garment of sin that we committed and gave us His righteousness in return.
  3. Galatians 3:13: Jesus Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. For there was a time when we were inhabitants under the law and were cruelly punished by it, but Jesus came and lifted the curse away from us. And He was declared curse for He was killed on the tree.
  4. Galatians 3:26: Jesus came to the earth so that we can become the sons and daughters of God. We became the sons of God through His death, resurrection and ascension in the sky.
  5. Romans 5:12-17: Jesus restored our Dominion when He came to the earth. Colossians 2:9-11
CONCLUSION
Ephesians 1:3-23:
It was recorded that God had made adequate provision for our salvation ever before the creation of the whole universe.
Christ, through His blood reconciled us back to God. We must also understand that the Authority of the Believer is embedded in the Chapter one of the book of Ephesians.
And we can enter into the provisions Jesus made for us by praying in accordance with the scripture starting from Verse 17 downward. So we would declare the blessings upon ourselves. We can also use it to pray for friends, families and even our enemies.

PRAYERS
  • Begin to declare them upon yourself and believe it is so in Jesus Name.
  • Finally, say Father, open the eyes of my heart
