BELIEVER'S AUTHORITY 1
Text: Genesis 1:26-28
One of the first things in discovering the Believer’s Authority is to identify where man was from the very beginning. This talks about the creation of man, the fall of man and how man was restored back to his original position.
When God made man, God placed man in total Dominion over all that God created. Now, when the Bible said God made man a little lower than the angels (Psalm 8:5), what that place meant in actual context was that man was made a little lower than God himself. This was because God had commanded that He would give angels charge to guide us (Man) - Psalm 92:11-12. Therefore, it would be contradicting if we thought the first angel being referred to in Psalm 8:5 were the normal angels; it actually meant the “God-Head”. So we have established the fact that the entire earth was given to man to dominate.
WHY WAS MAN CREATED
Man was created as the god over this earth through Adam. Man stands as the Crown of God’s entire creation - the best creature God ever created. Also, we can say that man is a signature of God. Now, when a man endorses his signature on a particular document, that signature is like an oath made by that man which is binding on that man. Whatever Power that man has, the signature has it. So in other words, we can say man is an extension of God on earth.
WHY WAS EARTH CREATED
The earth was created mainly because of man. God already had His Dominion over the Heavens so He needed not the earth to do with anything. But in order to show His supremacy, He created the just for man to dominate and be in total control.
HOW DID MAN LOSE HIS AUTHORITY
Man lost his authority to the devil in a simple way any man could ever think of. It was more of a dialogue; and the response was either a “Yes or No”. But by merely subscribing to the offer from Satan, man lost his authority to Satan.
Hence, the moment man lost his authority, he was separated from God - that is, Spiritual separation. And this made God send Adam away from the Garden of Eden.
And then we must understand that God had to send Adam away from the Garden of Eden because:
WHERE ARE WE
We are currently at a position where the devil has been made lord and the ruler of the affairs of the world. The moment Adam disobeyed, his authority was handed over to the devil. Luke 4:5 confirms this to us that devil states that authority over the earth has been handed over to him.
But we must also know that the story didn’t end there. There is a different package for all those who have identified themselves with God. This is why it is important that we align ourselves to the Almighty God because he still remains the creator of Heaven and Earth. This is because this is our only route to being in Dominion.
PRAYER

- No sinful nature can stand the presence of Light - God. God is also, so His dwelling place and its fullness has to be Holy.
- He was no longer Immortal. The moment he ate the fruit, the knowledge of good and evil came upon him, hence, he became a mortal man.
WHERE ARE WE
We are currently at a position where the devil has been made lord and the ruler of the affairs of the world. The moment Adam disobeyed, his authority was handed over to the devil. Luke 4:5 confirms this to us that devil states that authority over the earth has been handed over to him.

PRAYER
- Thank God for the provision of His son He had brought to us. Bless his holy Name for all that he has done.
