ACCORDING TO THE TIME OF LIFE

Text: GENESIS 18:1-14, 2 KINGS 4:16-17, Gen. 21:1-2

And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
14: Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

WHAT IS TIME?
#The continuum of experience in which events pass from the future through the present to the past

VERSE 1
THEY WERE ABLE TO DISCOVER/DISCERN THE HELPER OF THEIR DESTINY
  • They bring good news from ABOVE not from abroad.
  • Discovery is the mother of recovery.
  • They are timely, consistent and affirmative.
VERSE 3
THEY WERE DESPERATE FOR A CHANGE
  • He did not take no for an answer
  • He was desperate for a change
  • A closed mouth is a closed destiny.
1 Chronicles 4:10: And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

VERSE 4 & 5
THEY WERE HOSPITABLE
  • He showed care and love to the helper of his destiny
  • He was casting his bread upon many waters... Proverbs 
  • He was not tired of helping others
VERSE 6
ABRAHAM WAS QUICK TO RESPOND TO PROPHECY YET TO COME
  • HE was expectant.
  • He desire a change of status, name, identity.
  • He responded to the voice of grace
VERSE 6
THEY AGREE TOGETHER WITH THEIR DESTINY - POWER OF AGREEMENT
  • They were in one according Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
  • They synergize
VERSE 7
THEY GAVE THE BEST & THE BIGGEST AMONGST ALL
  • Abel gave the Best & Biggest of all Genesis 4:4
  • If you will release your Isaac, then you will get the whole world.

VERSE 10-14
THEY RECEIVE A WORD FOR THEIR DESTINY
Genesis 18:10
And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Genesis 7:14
 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

PROVERBS 9:11
 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

2Kings 4:16-17
 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. [17] And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

Your destiny is waiting for the appointed time, and now is the time your destiny has been waiting for.


PRAYER POINTS
1. My destiny responds to the word of prophecy in the name of Jesus.
2. Everyone sitting on my destiny, not allowing me to respond to prophecy for my destiny, collapse now in Jesus Name
3. My life respond to the timing for my destiny in Jesus name
4. Every Manipulation against my destiny, scatter by fire
5. Anyone with a spiritual remote controlling my destiny, be frustrated.
6. Every evil mark am carrying, that is postponing my miracles, be destroyed by the blood of Jesus
7. Every demonic caterer feeding my destiny with demonic food, be wounded in Jesus Name.

Topic: The Wonders of Commitment  Text: Matthew 22:35-40 Commitment means total and absolute surrender once and for all time. The God we serve never does things in half measures. THE NEW BIRTH 3

From the previous weeks on the topic “NEW BIRTH” , we have learnt that there is a new birth in Christ Jesus to all those who will surrender their will to him. Precisely last week, we learnt about “Life and Death” and we were able to establish the fact that there is a Life after we die of physical death. Using the story of Lazarus and the Rich man as a case study, we learnt that the rich man consistently fed his flesh and left the spirit stranded. And Lazarus on the other hand, though physically poor but his spirit was rich. And when the judgement day came, Lazarus entered into Abraham' Bosom while the rich man was left to suffer in pain. Lazarus enjoyed eternal life after death while the rich man had eternal death, which is the second death. Hence, we must ensure our spirit-man is greatly nourished above the flesh because man is a spirit being.
