THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU

WHY MUST WE GO THROUGH TRIALS AND CHALLENGES

  1. Because Jesus passed through it- John 16:33
  2. There is a timing for everything - Ecc 3:1-10
  3. Trial time is night time - Ps 30:5
  4. It will soon pass away because it is temporal - John 16:21
  5. For the Glory of God to be manifest- John 9:3
  6. So you can encourage others when you have overcome.
BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE THAT CAME OUT OF HOPELESS SITUATIONS
  1. Blind Bartimaeus - Mark 10:46-52
  2. Naaman - 2 Kings 5:8-14
  3. The widow of the prophet - 2 Kings 4:1-7
  4. The widow of Zarephath - 1 Kings 17:7-16
  5. The man at the pool of Bethesda- John 5:1-15
  6. The man at the beautiful gate- Acts 3:2-8
  7. The Shunammite Woman- 2 Kings 4:8-17
HOW TO RESPOND TO HOPELESS SITUATIONS
  • Pray until your joy is full - John 16:24
  • Don't compromise or look back - Luke 9:62
  • Keep on doing good so you can reap - Gal 6:9
  • Never get tired of serving God - 1 Cor 15:58
  • Speak up for help but focus on Jesus - Heb 12:2

PRAYER POINTS
  1. Father, please help me to appreciate you even in trying times.
  2. Father please help me never to lose hope on you.
  3. Father please help me never to rely on man, help me to focus on you.
  4. Father please send help to me from above.
  5. I refuse to die in my hopeless situation.
  6. I will overcome in the name of Jesus.
        Thank you Jesus for answered prayers.

Topic: The Wonders of Commitment  Text: Matthew 22:35-40 Commitment means total and absolute surrender once and for all time. The God we serve never does things in half measures. No half blessings with God. Psalm 23:5 Luke 5:1-7 No half breakthrough with God. If He gives you a breakthrough, it will frighten you. There’s no half measure healing with God. When God heals, He doesn’t leave behind anything at all. 2 Kings 5:1-14 There’s no half measure promotion with God. When He promotes, He promotes generously. THE NEW BIRTH 3

From the previous weeks on the topic “NEW BIRTH” , we have learnt that there is a new birth in Christ Jesus to all those who will surrender their will to him. Precisely last week, we learnt about “Life and Death” and we were able to establish the fact that there is a Life after we die of physical death. Using the story of Lazarus and the Rich man as a case study, we learnt that the rich man consistently fed his flesh and left the spirit stranded. And Lazarus on the other hand, though physically poor but his spirit was rich. And when the judgement day came, Lazarus entered into Abraham' Bosom while the rich man was left to suffer in pain. Lazarus enjoyed eternal life after death while the rich man had eternal death, which is the second death. Hence, we must ensure our spirit-man is greatly nourished above the flesh because man is a spirit being.
