THE EFFICACY OF FAITH

Text: Hebrews 11:6

Bishop David Oyedepo said “Miracles are not accidents, they are the deliberate acts of God motivated by the deliberate faith of God”. Nothing happens without Faith. God cannot do more than what we believe Him to do. And we understand that Prayer not offered in faith is a waste. Faith is the entry point into the supernatural. And also, you cannot be righteous without God - Romans 14:23, 1 John 5:4.

We can only be able to overcome the world through faith. This is because faith is what brings us into the class and realm of God. This is why Christianity is impossible without faith; Christianity is a walk of faith. And God depends on the faith of Christians to show his capacity on earth (Hebrews 11:6). As a matter of fact, Faith is the oxygen of Christianity, If your justification does not come from faith, then it is fake. When you separate Faith from a Christian, that Christian is as good as nothing. And again, the entire experience of a Christian Life is called “Faith”. More so, Faith is a personal race (Galatians 3:11). The just will die without faith (the just will only survive if he totally believe in the power of the blood of Jesus that redeems and saves). Faith has the capacity to deal with the seed of sin (James 5:15).

When you begin to operate in faith, you operate in the realm of God (Mark 10:27). Men operate in the realm of impossibilities but God operates in the realm of possibilities (Mark 9:23). For the sake of emphasis, anyone that operates in faith operates in the same realm with God. The only reason you can die to any form of diseases, illness or virus is when you lose faith. And the moment God sees faith in the Church, He can never say no to His Church. The only reason God would answer your prayers because it is a prayer of faith so it is not enough to just pray but also believe in the word of God.

Faith is an unquestionable confidence in God and His word. Most times, Faith can be deliberately walking out of sight. Faith is absolute dependence and acting on the word of God. Faith is insisting that the word of God is absolute and complete. Faith is something you use as an exchange for something you deserve. So we must understand that God will not answer you because you cry so much but because you believe so much because God is not moved by emotions; He is moved by you faith.

 

PRAYERS

·         Father, please help me to increase my faith in you.

·         Begin to declare good tidings into your life. Declare all the things your heart desires; declare them in faith.

THE NEW BIRTH 3

From the previous weeks on the topic “NEW BIRTH” , we have learnt that there is a new birth in Christ Jesus to all those who will surrender their will to him. Precisely last week, we learnt about “Life and Death” and we were able to establish the fact that there is a Life after we die of physical death. Using the story of Lazarus and the Rich man as a case study, we learnt that the rich man consistently fed his flesh and left the spirit stranded. And Lazarus on the other hand, though physically poor but his spirit was rich. And when the judgement day came, Lazarus entered into Abraham' Bosom while the rich man was left to suffer in pain. Lazarus enjoyed eternal life after death while the rich man had eternal death, which is the second death. Hence, we must ensure our spirit-man is greatly nourished above the flesh because man is a spirit being.
