FAITH THAT MOVES MOUNTAINS

Bible Text: Hebrews 11:1, Luke 17:6

For every believer, this is a message you should take seriously into your Spirit
The first thing that you must note as a Christians is that whatever stands before you as a mountain has already been leveled before you so you need Faith to tap into that realm - 1 John 5:4

WHAT IS FAITH
As Christians, we must understand what Faith is before we know whether it can move mountains or not.
  • Faith is neither an Idea nor a feeling; it is the truth. Faith is beyond ordinary perception, it is based on the actual truth
  •  Faith is not a wish; It is a demand and it places upon you the sense of responsibility. There is no one that changes anything by just a mere wish.
  • Faith is not blind and it is not foolishness. But rather the wisdom of God. Whoever would act in Faith must know that it not being foolish but relying on the Wisdom of God

WHAT IS A MOUNTAIN
A mountain is any hindrance or anything that stands in the way between you and your breakthrough. A mountain is anything that prevents you from getting in touch with your Joy, Success, Promotion and your breakthrough. And we must understand that no man can remove any mountain without acknowledging the source of faith.

SOURCE OF FAITH

1. THE WORD OF GOD
Show me a man that has not found victory and triumph and I will show you a man that is so far from the word of God. God expects us to respond to challenges by Faith and not by weeping because God is not moved by tears. If we all can deal in utmost Faith, the Pastor will have less problems to solve. Faith stands firm on the Word of God - Romans 10:17. And let's not be too familiar with the Word of God or take it likely because we have read it countless times; the word of God is ever potent. Any prophecy that is not in the Word of God is not sure; It is fake. Any action that is not resting on the word of God is also fake - John 5:39. Whatever God has said will definitely come to pass.It is only the word of God that can give us success - Joshua 1:8

2. BELIEVING
The believing aspect is more like taking in something into your body and then it begins to germinate. It's like a drug, it has to dissolve inside of you before it starts working. Luke 1:37, Mark 9:26

3. TAKE ACTION
The final step of faith is taking action towards what you believe. James 5:14. Without taking all these steps, there is no way we can level any mountain. When God spoke to Pastor E.A Adeboye that He was going to build him a city, it took an action of Faith for him to leave Mushin in Lagos to a dungeon which God has finally transformed into a City. If after taking hold of God’s word, believing in Him and you don’t take action, you may not be able to move mountains. Someone said “There is no mountain anywhere, it is our ignorance that makes it look so”

PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, constantly reveal Jesus to me in the Word
2. Father, Let my heart be the dwelling place of your Word
3. Father, I command my ears to open now to the word of Jesus so that I can move mountains
4. Father, I take grace to start taking actions in Jesus Name.

THE NEW BIRTH 3

From the previous weeks on the topic “NEW BIRTH” , we have learnt that there is a new birth in Christ Jesus to all those who will surrender their will to him. Precisely last week, we learnt about “Life and Death” and we were able to establish the fact that there is a Life after we die of physical death. Using the story of Lazarus and the Rich man as a case study, we learnt that the rich man consistently fed his flesh and left the spirit stranded. And Lazarus on the other hand, though physically poor but his spirit was rich. And when the judgement day came, Lazarus entered into Abraham' Bosom while the rich man was left to suffer in pain. Lazarus enjoyed eternal life after death while the rich man had eternal death, which is the second death. Hence, we must ensure our spirit-man is greatly nourished above the flesh because man is a spirit being.
